The only thing lamer than New Years is having to sit through a completely boring meal (but good meal) where a family friend is babbling in a language I do not understand. I don't know what is worse: not understanding, or being bored but understanding.

Either way, so far this evening is lame. Hopefully the Champs-Elysees (although I have my doubts that I will be going as it is already 11:20 pm here) will be nice.

Blah.

Funny stuff.

Since a few of you have asked, I am flying home on Jan 1 from Paris (CDG) to San Francisco (SFO) on United flight 961. Not on AirFrance (I flew them last time actually), and not to LAX (which is normally my destination).

This is too funny:

"Shaquille O'Neal is 31 years old and has been playing organized basketball since he was 14, which means the form he exhibits at the free-throw line (i.e., shotputting the ball, staggering forward into the lane) is the culmination of 17 years of development.

Ten bucks says that Jack Nicholson could beat him in a free-throw contest."

It's from the LA Times...

I am in France again, and plan to update this page (again...), this time with updates on the latest adventures in France. I am staying with AnneJulie and her parents, who have an apartment in Paris. The apartment has a nice view of the Eiffel Tower, so life isn't bad over here ;-).

Anyways, stay tuned. :)
