Michael Moore is an evil man. This article is great because it disproves a lot of this "movie", which I won't see because I do not have an ounce of respect for him.
Apple came out with a new product today that lets you play your iPod in a BMW. That's a really good idea, and I would totally get one. BUT ... there is a catch. It won't play in my car. This will not work in any cars that have a navigation system or a CD player (I guess you can disable the CD player if you want). This is DUMB. Why would they releaase something that does not work with a nav system? Most cars these days have navigation -- you almost have to have GPS if you want the car to hold a somewhat respectable resale value. It's just STUPID. I am curious if they will ever say why they didn't get it to work -- was it that complicated? Or just a bunch of lazy programmers?

Do chickens really run around with their head cut off? These people tried to find out.
This is funny... you can really substitute "French" with "Europeans". I never personally experienced negative things while in France, but there is definitely an anti-American sentiment there along with the rest of Europe.
From a blog: "Isn't it funny the French show distaste to us because to them American's are a bunch of fat, loud, liars? But yet they embrace Michael Moore. The poster boy for it."

Haha. Now THIS is retarded:
"Us Weekly reports that The Arc of the United States - a Maryland-based nonprofit that claims to be "the nation's largest group devoted to issues concerning people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities" - has sent the "Mean Girls" starlet a stern letter objecting to her repeated use of the phrase, "That's so retarded."" -- http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/203330p-175365c.html

So the Lakers lost. That sucks :(. At least Larry Brown was the coach of the team that beat the Lakers. He deserved to win a championship. I didn't realize he was 63 years old -- he looks 50 or so. I really don't know what else to say about the NBA Finals except the Lakers got their butts kicked all 5 games, so it's not like it was a total surprise last night when the Pistons kicked their butts again. Oh well.... there's always next year .... but who knows if Kobe's back with the Lakers, if Phil's back, Fisher, Malone, Payton, etc... lots of uncertainty.
BLAH.
BLAH.

A lot of stuff going on right now... let's see:
1) Alison's graduation and the events around it were nice. She has lots of nice, fun friends so it always is interesting being around them.
2) I got to hang out with Pete on Saturday along with Brian at the SCU graduation, so that was fun. We came to the conclusion that Santa Clara is where all of the attractive people in the world are. Well, at least in the bay area. I've never seen so many attractive (i.e. HOT) people in my life at one time -- or at least not recently.
3) The new Chronicles of Riddick is pretty good. It's really good as a popcorn flick, so I guess I really liked it. I just thought they could have improved on the story somewhat. Special effects & sound wise -- it was awesome.
4) I’m still in the bay area taking care of some stuff, etc. More on this soon. :)

Stupid Lakers.

This is too funny, especially the comments in the second-to-last paragraph.

This has to be the kewlest website ever!
Being self-employed is not good when it comes time to pay taxes. Yesterday I finally got my 2003 taxes done (an extension was filed by my tax man for ‘whatever’ reasons), and, man, I got butchered. I think I’m paying for Reagan’s funeral by myself, or the Iraq war… well, it’s not that high, but still… being self-employed, single, and living at home – there isn’t enough deductions in the world to save me.
The only real recommendation the tax guy could give me was to buy a house or put money into my retirement. I will get a place of residence fairly soon now that my head is on straight and I know exactly what is going on. I had an opportunity to get something with a friend but the timing among other things didn’t help at all. Ah well, it’s all *supposed* to work out for the best, right?
I guess I should have bought a house two years ago and that would have helped tremendously, but I didn’t due to being with AJ at the time and not knowing where I was going to be. In retrospect, of course, I should have bought something and should not have assumed things would work out in the end. After all, the first three letters of “assumed” is what I was for believing things would work out.
Bottom line: always do what you want and do not ever trust girls – otherwise, you could get burned on your taxes ;-)

I cleaned out my web page stuff today. Man, I had a lot of old stuff and pictures on the server. I figured it was time to clean out a lot of the old stuff, since there is no point looking at it. I have it burned on a CD-Rom so I have it for "archival" purposes anyways. Other than that, it does me no good. After all, the last thing I want to do is have to look at pictures of Europe or of certain individuals from there (yes, I refuse to use her name these days – it’s an evil word). Bottom line: if you find old entries with links to pictures of Europe, etc., they won’t work, and consider yourself lucky.
I guess I am going to try to update this darn blog more. I have a hard time being consistent with it. Most entries I wrote were when I was overseas. But since that is not happening anymore, I guess I’ll have to write about normal, or somewhat normal, things. And I’ll try not to complain too much – I realize this isn’t a diary (since those are for girls…), but it’s hard not to rant about things.
On a good note: I’m going to Cancun (it’s in Mexico, retard) on July 1-6th with Brian & Julio. That will be A LOT of fun I’m sure. Vegas was an absolute blast (Vegas Baby Vegas!!!), and this is going to be even better I’d imagine. Tropical weather and water, great friends, alcohol, and lots of girls… just what the doctor ordered, I guess :-). If that doesn’t solve problems, I don’t know what will…
