Life is fantastic. I am finally settled in the new place, and holy crap. It’s just too nice. The view is unbelievable and the place itself is practically perfect. We still need to do carpet, flooring, and painting the walls, but it’s definitely “livable” right now. It’s funny how time changes in three months – I wouldn’t trade having this place for anything. I know it is way better than anything I would have had if things would have worked out differently. I guess I am supposed to be single and enjoy life right now, and I can’t complain at all as my life is definitely a lot simpler and less stressful than it was six months to a year ago. It is funny how a break-up and a change of scenery is probably the best thing that has happened to me in quite a while.

I want to put some pictures online of the place (a/k/a the “Palace”), but since we are lacking the main TV, couch, rear speakers (2 sets of rears!) are not mounted, and we still need to do the walls, carpet, and Pergo, it may be a while. Here are pictures BEFORE we moved in… please note that the pictures are from the original walk-through – they contain the previous owner’s furniture, and not ours. They can be found here.

So I'm back from Cancun, which was awesome and exactly what I needed. Nothing clears out all the *problems* like hot weather, clear water, clubs with alcohol, and a lot of hot girls ;-). It was a really nice break being down there with Brian and Julio. Our day normally consisted of sleeping in until 12:30ish, go to the beach until 4-5 and/or wonder around, go eat somewhere, come back to the hotel, and then go out to an awesome club until 3-5 in the morning. Combined, we took over 2 gigs of pictures and movies -- lots of stuff to record :). I will put some pictures on the site hopefully by mid next week -- I do not have Brian's pictures yet so once I get those I will organize them.

I'm supposed to move in to the new place late next week or early the following week -- all of that has happened REALLY fast. Funny how I go from "well, I may be interested" to "ok, I'm DEFINETELY getting this place" in a matter of days, and it's finalized in under a month. We just have to get the carpet cleaned and have my McRoskey California King bed delivered, and then I can start moving in. Woo-hoo!
