The movie "Napoleon Dynamite" is HILARIOUS! It's just a different type of comedy, and there are a lot of classic scenes in it. Sooo great!!!

Wisdom from Alex
Me: "You only go for the psychotic girls."
Alex: "Well I have no other choice."

Me: "Funny how I've never really had that 'I'm lost' moment in my life."
Alex: "I was really lost (read: drunk) in Durham [England] one time."

Leave my 24 alone darnit.

Being home isn't as weird as I thought it would be. I find myself much, much more lazy at home than I am when up at "my house" though. I am a lot more dependent on my mom for things here. I guess that's just living at home for you. Plus, I lost my voice (too much partying for Brian's bday I guess) and haven't been feeling that great ever since, so that could have something to do with it.
I had a great Christmas presents wise lol. My mom went a little overboard on presents for Alison & I -- I joked I should have moved out a long time ago just to get more presents :). I was actually a little tired towards the end of opening them all this morning. Sounds funny but it's true.
I didn't make a Christmas list this year (or last year for that matter, I was in France and had everything I wanted) so I can't say I did or didn't get anything that I wanted this year. Plus I'm spoiled and have everything I want that is a material item, so that makes it tough.
The list from two years ago had items that were "beyond" what Santa could give me. Let's analyze and see how it is two years from now:
(1) being done with EBis 3.0 so I can play Halo 2 -- Two years later I have finished 3.0, Halo 2 is out, and I can play as much as I want (although I don't play much at all -- no time)
(2) Retirement by 28 -- well, I don't think that is going to happen but things are looking promising (for work) next year
(3) Happiness -- Two years ago I wrote "I'm on my way". I've learned and experienced a lot in the past two years, but I'm definitely not better off than I was two years ago from the pure "I am happy" statement. From a work point of view, things are much, much better than they were two years ago. But personally, that's still up in the air, and personal happiness is much more important to me than work happiness at this point in my life... I guess I can't have everything :-
I thought about making a list this year of what I wanted for xmas but I told my mom, "All I want is to be happy." I'm sensing a theme over the past 3 years... I guess that's all I have left at this point, minus trying to be more successful for work, which is somewhat out of my hands at this point.
< / end rant > :-)

Nothing like a super short night (out late, up early). Was quite fun though!!! I'm going home this morning with my sister for a few days, that should be fun. I'm always really excited to see the parents, and, especially (lol), Buddy! And my friends too who are in the area of course :)
I'll post pictures hopefully when I get home and get them organized. Worse case I'll do it after xmas.

Today is Brian's birthday, so that means we are going to go out and get him wasted tonight. :) What kind of friends are we if we don't??? Alison, Blake, Eddie, Gunn, Maneesh, myself, probably other friends I forgot, and a bunch of his Nextag buddies are all going up to the city to pre-party at Nathan's (Nextag guy), and then it's off to the "Redwood Room" which is supposed to be this super nice bar. Who knows, it should be fun. Last night at midnight Brian & I did take some shots (3 shots each of Don Julio Tequilla, 1 shot of Watermelon Twisted Vodka) and then had a frozen pizza while playing Halo 2. Gotta celebrate his bday properly!
Brian Birthday Flashbacks:
For his 21st bday, Burzeen & I took him to Vegas and proceeded to get him wasted both bday "nights". Highlights included:
1) him starting to pass out while on the phone with Dora while at Dennys, and me smacking him in the face to keep him awake
2) him waking up the next morning with gum in his mouth
3) him waking up and wondering where the Dennys left-overs came from
4) him ironing clothes saying "I'll steam you, then I'll steam you!!!" while wasted.
5) sitting there for hours playing the wheel with him being stingy, "earning his drink", and us reflecting on how the wheel spinner-person looked like Diane Lane (an actress).
For Brian's 22nd we went to Santa Barbara, and we joked once he was really messed up that we should take him to a gay bar and see how long it took him to figure out it was really a gay bar. That would have been hilarious :)
For Brian's 23rd, I was in Paris but called him at 9 am France time (12am-- yup, there is a nine hour time gap people!) to be the first to wish him a happy bday. I really can't remember what he did on his 23rd, but I'll bet it sucked since I wasn't there. ;-)
Will Brian's 24rd be as memorable as past bdays? Oh, fo'sho!, and I'm gonna be there documenting it with my digital camera!

I agree with Arnold about "moving to the left" a little. Just a little ;-).

I've decided to rant about girls, since it's been a long time since I've really said that much. It seems like it's practically *impossible* to meet a girl who fits the following criteria, which is a basic idea of what I'm looking for I guess.
1. Has to be a nice girl that I would want to take home to mom (lol)
2. Cute / beautiful – attraction to me is very, very important
3. Very affectionate / passionate
4. Enjoys life and is generally happy and loves to smile
5. Is understanding, trusting, fun, supportive, and has a sense of humor
6. Likes to both stay in and go out
7. Fairly successful and has a decent idea of what they want in life
8. Can deal with the fact that I have been fairly successful in my business
9. Does not have to have the same interests as me but liking movies and some TV would be nice
10. At least somewhat athletic / eats healthy most of the time / stays in shape
11. Likes to travel
12. Knowledge of a foreign language or wanting to maybe live overseas (full or part time, I have no clue at this point) later in life is a plus, as I wouldn't mind living in Europe later in life if the opportunity presented itself.
Am I THAT picky? Blah! :-(

Wow... quite impressive, for the French ;-). To quote Ben Stiller: "Just kidding. But not really." LOL :)

I had a nice surprise today... Newlyweds Season 1 is now out on DVD. For some reason I love that show (and no, it's not just because of Jessica Simpson -- it's just so stupid which makes it so entertaining).
Oh, and wow, picking colors to paint the place is quite difficult. I *think* I have a good handle on what I want, but I'm not sure. It's just so complicated. I wish I could just disappear for a few days and then I would come back and it would be done. I know there is no *fun* in that, but still, that would be very nice :).

24 Season 3 was frikkin' awesome. We started watching it on Friday night, did 6 episodes, stopping around 4 am. Then we started again at about noon the next day and did the remaining 18 (!!!) episodes, finishing at around 4 am (again). It was SOOO INTENSE. I highly recommend it. Jack Bauer is THE MAN. Enough said. :)

Friday night we start watching 24 Season 3!!! Oh how I've missed Jack & Kim Bauer, David Palmer, his evil wife Sherry, Tony, and even Nina (not sure if she's in Season 3, hopefully she is). I AM SO EXCITED IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY!!!!

This whole BALCO steroid scandal is hilarious. Barry Bonds obviously did that stuff, and he HAD TO HAVE KNOWN. "Oh wow, I'm using this cream for my arthritis and I'm suddenly HUGE!!!!". It's just so funny. And the whole "I thought I was using flaxseed oil" excuse is just as bad. Having taken flaxseed oil a lot, I feel I can comment on this with a semi-educated point of view. Flaxseed oil is disgusting. Tastes horrible. But I am not aware of any "creams" or "injections" of flaxseed oil. It's just something you take in pill or liquid form. In short, flaxseed oil has a lot of omega (fish) oils in it, which is ultimately good for your body. But it isn't going to make you HUGE. I mean, these excuses are just horrible. Anyone with half a brain knows that it doesn't help that much at all. I'm just amazed at how stupid THEY think the general public is to make excuses like this. I would think if you were on steroids you would know it. "Wow, I'm suddenly benching 50 pounds more the next day, I look like Arnold, I'm not sore, and I'm always pissed off... must be the flaxseed oil and my arthritis cream...". Yeah right. If they truly had no idea, they should be convicted of ultimate stupidity.
Happy 24 Day!!! We (Brian, Gunn, Maneesh, Alex, Jeff, and myself) are going to watch it starting Friday night. We are going to watch like 5-6 hours of it, get some sleep, and watch it all Saturday. I'm seriously SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Jeff: someone in virginia sent me an email at 23:16..if that was her time it was quite a while ago, if not...well, i don't know what she would be up at this hour

Jeff: well, according to the little girl i just woke up at 3am 3000 miles away, your take is wrong and she sent it about four or five hours ago
Me: HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
