The previous second highest amount was 78, also by Wilt. The Laker's franchise record was by Elgin Baylor (71), which Kobe shattered. Michael Jordan's career high was 69.
Kobe scored 55 in the SECOND HALF. His previous career high was 62 (granted, that was in THREE quarters against a very good Mavericks team).
