Good 'ol Bill Walton (on Kobe)

"Kobe's level of fitness is so amazing, he's left everyone else in the dust. When you saw him at the end of that Toronto game, he didn't even look tired. He's like a guy on a bike ride who feels so strong that he just says, 'The heck with the rest of you guys,' and breaks away from the rest of the pack.

I think he's going to get 100, and I think he's going to get it in the next month." - Bill Walton

Warriors Game

Jeff and I went to the Warriors game against Dallas the other night. It was kind of weird in the "I don't really care who wins" sense. I guess that's how people feel who don't like basketball that much. When I watch the Lakers, I am seriously rooting for them... it's a very passionate "rooting". I guess it's years of watching them, ever since I was a little kid. It's a lot different when it's two teams you just kind of care about. Don't get me wrong, it was really fun to go to and I will go again, but it's strange. Oh, I cheered for D-Fish a lot though, of course!!!

Contest to Boot Windows on a Mac

There is a contest going on to trying to inspire people to get Windows XP working on the new Macs. What a great idea :). I donated $10 -- figured it's a worthwhile investment if I can buy a PowerBook (or MacBook I should say...) and boot both...

81

Kobe Bryant had 81 (yes, EIGHTY-ONE) points tonight in the game vs. the Raptors. This is the second most in NBA HISTORY. Only Wilt Chamberlain has scored more in a game (100). The previous second highest amount was 78, also by Wilt. The Laker's franchise record was by Elgin Baylor (71), which Kobe shattered. Michael Jordan's career high was 69.

Kobe scored 55 in the SECOND HALF. His previous career high was 62 (granted, that was in THREE quarters against a very good Mavericks team).

Unbelievable. I'm glad I decided to watch the game! This was truly a historic evening !

Update (notable quotes):
"You're sitting and watching, and it's like a miracle unfolding in front of your eyes and you can't accept it," Lakers owner Jerry Buss said. "Somehow, the brain won't work. The easiest way to look at it is everybody remembers every 50-point game they ever saw. He had 55 in the second half."

Homemade Pizza!

I finally got brave and busted out the new pizza stone and KitchenAid mixer that I got for Christmas, and made homemade pizza, from scratch. That's right, made the DOUGH and the SAUCE from scratch! Well, I did use flour that I bought at the store, so it's not like I made the flour myself... Anyways, both pizzas were INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, but the first one looked a lot more funky than the second. Jeff rolled the second one, but I am convinced his success was due to my ability to find everything to do wrong in the first one :) ... that or he secretly has always wanted to work at Dominos!

"A Man's Day"

So Monday I drove down to LA (from Santa Maria) and went to the LA Car Show with Julio. There were some AMAZING cars there. I was most impresesd by the Vette Z06 (no surprise), the Saturn Sky (it's really nice, and for 25k...), and the Jaguar XK. I REALLY like the XK -- REALLY LIKE. It's a 300 HP coupe, so it's not as fast as the M3, but it's just sooo classy looking. Very tempting in a few years... maybe I'll start the Jag fund now...

After the car show, we went to the Lakers vs. Pacers game, where Kobe dropped 45 points on them, leading the Lakers to victory. This was Kobe's FOURTH 45 point game in a row -- he's only the THIRD player in NBA HISTORY to do this. Amazing!

Now if only Jessica Simpson were at the game, it would have been perfect. Hahaha :)

Vegas Baby Vegas

Here are some pics of the Vegas trip with the sist-ho & Blake, Steve & Melissa, Matt & Amanda, and us single guys Todd & myself. It was really fun, but now I am in de-tox mode for at least a week or two. Lots of salads, soups, and vitamins.

Black Star Saga

Keith and Steve have been working hard on Black Star Saga, an online collectible card game. If this interests you (and it should!), you can check it out here, as it is now in beta!

Good job guys :)
